Behind the Mumbai Terror attacks

The reason for this post is a fellow blogger L venkat who happend to ask my views on the mumbai terror attacts, i wouldnt have written about it as already too much has been written and  shown about it everywhere; which would relatively make my post less significant.

As being an atheist i would certainly bring the religious angle first. For a Muslim everything comes after the religion, they don't have brother hood, family or nationality their minds are filled with religious worms which has been inducted in them at a very young age.  The extent of it was commonly seen in Ahmadabad, godhra and vadodara before the riots, everytime there was a Pakistan and India match you just have to go and see in the Muslim ghettos and you will find Pakistani flags and people rejoicing India's defeat just because Pakistan is an Islamic country. Certainly anyone would get angry at this that the citizens of a country are rejoicing its defeat. " for a Muslim only religion matters " So its easy to use them for political or any other selfish purpose in the pretext of religion. 

The mumbai attack was different from other attacks which had plagued India for a long time, the first attacks started for the cause of land eg. Kashmir, then later because of religion after the babri masjid which caused attack on akshardham, then it was against Hindus after mumbai and  2002 Gujarat riots. Parliament attack was on the Unity of India. Now as it is evident that Pakistan's economy is in ruins so they are targeting Indian economy, symbols of India's economy which are taj and oberoi hotels. And in particular the attacks was to scare away foreigners and hurt India's global trade and FDI investments. Pakistan has always been pushing counterfeit currency so as to hurt India's economy like Germany did with England during world war. 

So basically the reasons have always been different, the people have been different, the financiers and the people who intend to gain from this has been different. Mumbai attack cant be done to take revenge with the Hindus, no jihadist or other religious interest group would do anything like that, so its obvious that it is ISI backed. ISI is fairly autonomous the Pakistani government may not know about this, ISI maintains high level of secrecy and the people at ISI have been cultivated with the mindset of hurting India in one way or the other, after the afghan- soviet war the ISI shifted its attention to India and have been trying to hurt it for whatever good it stands for.

This is an opportunity to prove what Pakistan has always been denying about the involvement of ISI. Previously the attacks were by Pakistan based militant groups with support from ISI but this is completely backed by ISI without the knowledge of the civilian government as the Pakistani govt. would never take such a risk when already its reputation is in shatters. So its time to gather intelligence at the earliest and prove to the world that Pakistani ISI has done this before the world attention shifts to some other issues.
